Asking your manager to place an order in for you can easily be lost in the process or fall through. The order management panel is utilized best for managing your team’s requests and tracking of orders that need to be made in order to have enough inventory stock for you to conduct your experiment.
Requesting an order
Requesting an order notifies your admin about the order details you have inputted. This will allow your admin to place in the order in your team’s utilized procurement system by easily viewing all the orders that have been requested by researchers.
Who can request an order?
Any user on the platform can place a request on the order panel.
Requesting a new order from scratch
1. Navigate to any layer of the freezer in your inventory.
2. Click on the order icon located at the top right of your nav bar.
3. The ‘New order’ panel will expand and show the active order list. Click the ‘New order’ button to create a new order request.
4. Input the order details. All form fields with * are required form fields.
5. Once the order form is completed to your liking, click the ‘Submit’ button to request the order.
Requesting an order of an item in a box
1. Navigate to the box-view of the intended item you want to order.
2. Right click on the item cell you wish to request an order for.
3. Select ‘Request order’ in the dropdown and the ‘New order’ panel will expand with the item details pre-populated with their prospective form fields. You can choose to add, edit, or remove details in the order form and change the quantity to what you wish to order.
4. Once the order form is completed to your liking, click the ‘Submit’ button to request the order.

Order details
You can view your order details by clicking on an order card, where the card will expand and can click on ‘View details’. This will expand a full panel with all the form fields and sections involved in the order requested/completed.
You can also edit your order or reorder the same card once you have views the order details.
Completing a requested order
Once your admin has received your order request, placed the order in, and finally received the order package, they can mark the order as complete.
Who can complete a requested order?
Admins on the Genemod platform from your team can complete requested orders.
Completing an order
1. Open up the order panel and click on the active order card you want to complete. The card should expand.
2. To mark complete, click ‘Mark complete’. You should see a confirmation and the card will now be visible in the ‘Complete’ tab.
3. Note: all newly completed orders will have a red dot to indicate it is a newly completed order.
