Protocol labels can be added when a protocol is created from the protocol library:
You can modify the labels on existing protocols on the protocol settings panel by navigating to the Protocol library and clicking on the settings icon at the top right corner.
You can also manage the protocol labels within an existing protocol by clicking into the settings of a specific protocol within the protocol template:
